Rejected Sample

Hi,

I've had this same issue before. I had a member of the QA team reject my audition for being too "boxy"

I took that advise, improved the acoustic treatment in my studio greatly. It's been entirely treated now.

I have been having a lot of luck recently with auditions and samples and I honestly feel like it's made a huge difference in my deliverables.

But then last night I had an audition rejected for being too boxy again, by the same QA team member.

Can I get some feedback on this sample? I don't personally find it to be boxy, but sometimes it is difficult to be objective about your own voice.

Thank you for reaching out and using this space.

I shared your file with our QC team and this is what they said:

There is some hiss on top of her voice, and it sounds like she could be overprocessing maybe with some de-noisser or similar plugin, also there is a hint of boxiness, but it could be approvable.

May we suggest you dial back those processes and work on the hiss? It seems like you're very close!
