Audition Feedback
Hello.
I recently got my voice over audition rejected for the following reasons:
1. Your recording sounds undesirably over-processed, which is impacting the quality of the deliverable. It may be due to a noise reduction plugin, an EQ, or a noise gate, for example.
2. There are undesirable mouth noises in your recording that distract from the quality of the performance.
We invite you to visit our community page where you\'ll find tips on how to control mouth noise issues: https://bit.ly/2NjTyUK.
The only problem with no. 1 is that if I don't noise reduce the audio file. I get rejected for white noise.
No. 2 can be fixed easily.

Hi Alexander!
I just reviewed both files, definitely the first one sounds better but you can hear a bit of processing on the higher end spectrum (specially when you pronounce words with "s" in them) is that the processed file? could you share with me the processing chain to review it together?
The revised file sounds a bit boxy, how is your acoustic setup at the moment?
Daniel
2nd one i tried further away from the mic to try and avoid the unwanted mouth sounds.
Im doing all this from my cupboard.

You can definitely hear the space on that second file, that is the danger with those enclosed spaces, they work really well as long as they are acoustically treated all around (you can mock up a vocal booth there, with some of those panels all around, and don't forget the floor! usually people only do walls and ceiling, but a nice thick rug can work wonders for room echo as well).
