Greater Transparency in Rewards
For help while setting our rates, is there a way for Bunny Pros to calculate what their actual reward would be for a project of a given length? For example, what the reward would be for a 355-word project?
Over the span of a couple of days, I received projects of 56, 61, and 65 words. Here are the rewards as calculated for me:
56 words - $18.00 61 words - $17.20 65 words - $16.83
As you can see, the total reward dropped as the word count increased. This is counterintuitive.
What can I do to keep this sort of thing from happening? Is there a way to add a reward calculator to the Rates and Project Preferences page so that I could confirm a reward for a given script length and be confident with the per-word rates that I've selected?
Thanks, Chuck

Hey Chuck,
Hope you are doing great!
I totally get why this seems confusing, so let’s break it down simply!
Our Rewards and Rates works on a progressive rate system, meaning that the calculated Reward per word gradually adjusts to the Rates you've chosen instead of staying fixed.
I've taken an average of Rates for a random category in our system, and crafted an example to showcase what I mean:
Imagine these are a Pro's Rates, and the progression they represent.
Notice that as the word count goes up, the rate per word actually starts going down.
What the system does is calculate a reward within these progressions when the value is between the basis (5, 50, 500, etc), and uses that to calculate your Rewards. However, since the difference between the progression also takes part in this calculation, the situation you've describe can happen, at times.
We've been discussing a few possible tools that could assist our Pros to calculate their rewards best, instead of relying in progressions. But if you do have more detailed questions, please don't hesitate to contact our CX agents and they'll look into it for you!
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions!
Best, and count on us,

Hi Gabriela,
I understand the idea of progressive rates, but I'm sure you'd agree that giving a Pro a smaller reward for a larger project isn't fair, and a system that would allow that to happen isn't at all transparent.
If Bunny wants to use a progressive rate system, why bother with the 50, 500, and 5000 word levels? Simply ask the Pro for their rate/word for 5 words, their rate/word for 50,000 words, and let the curve of the progressive rate system do the rest.
Alternatively, keep the levels and the Pro can base their rate/word for each level. Example:
Up to 5 words: $0.50/word
Between 5 and 50 words: $0.35/word
Between 50 and 500 words: $0.20/word
Between 500 and 5000 words: $0.10/word
Between 5000 and 50000 words: $0.05 word
That way the Pro would know ahead of time what their reward for a certain length project would be, and they could be comfortable with the rates they've selected. In my example, I'd know that for a 75-word project my reward would be $26.25. And for a 623-word project, my reward would be $124.60. Mr. Bunny adds their markup on top of that, and everyone's happy. And most importantly, Pros would have full transparency on their rewards.
Thanks,
Chuck
