What Equipment is Considered Professional or Unprofessional?
Hello, and thank you for taking the time for my question!
My submission was rejected on three counts, two of which I should have little trouble rectifying should my application be considered again. I was, however, confused by the third, which stated that my recording "sounds as if the audio was not recorded with professional equipment".
I use an AKG C214 microphone, a Focusrite Scarlett Solo (3rd Gen) audio interface, and a Monoprice microphone isolation shield, all of which I had thought would be fairly up to the task. However, if I was mistaken on any of these accounts, I would appreciate feedback!
Another possible factor could be the recording space itself, which I've seen come up as an issue on answered posts similar to mine. If it would help, I can send both the rejected recording sample and pictures of my recording space to see if the issue lies therein.
Thank you very much!

Hi Ethan, thanks for reaching out!
In order to help you, could you send us your samples? You can also share with us some photos of your recording space and your equipment. We are more than happy to help you!
Best,
Steven
Hello again! Thank you for replying, and I do apologize for how long I took getting back to you...
I have here some pics of my little homemade studio; however, I am not entirely sure how I might add on the audition file to the reply box. I am unable to drag and drop the files here. Is there perhaps another way I can send it to you or whomever might want to examine it?
Again, thank you!
Hi again Ethan! unfortunately you can't upload the audio directly, but you could use google drive and send the link to us so we can have a listen.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Best regards,
Steven.

Thanks for getting back to me! To which address should I send the file?
Here's the link; thought I had to send via email before it clicked for me!
