First Audition Issues
Hi guys! I'm very lucky to have a full professional studio next door so I do my recordings there with a sound engineer. My audition was rejected due to 'white noise' and 'room echo' which in a fully sound proof studio is impossible. Can you please have a listen and let me know if something else was wrong to get that feedback?

Much appreciated!

Anyone? Would love to hear from quality control on this please?
Hi Tina, I'm not a BS employee, just another Pro on here, however I thought you might like someone to answer so here goes:
Hi can't hear any 'white noise' other than a very small section right at the very end of the file (only a fraction of a second). There isn't any between phrases that I can hear.
I do hear a lot of compression effects though which maybe is creating a 'white noise' effect on the 's' sounds and high frequencies in particular.
Other than that it does sound like there is some local reflection such a script on a stand or maybe a laptop screen reflecting back onto the mic. Is that a possibility?
Thank you so so much. I did change stereo to mono in audacity and wonder if that caused the compression? Will look into the reflection that makes more sense.
Hi Tina,
Just replied on your other thread.
Thank you Dave for your kind input! Raised some great points here.
Hope you both have a great day. :)
