Age range of sample
Hi!
I recently submitted a Sample to add to my profile. It was submitted for Commercial, Young Adult. It was rejected due to: "Your sample does not reflect the age selected in the attributes."
I recorded this sample in my regular tone, and I'm in my 30s. I know I sound younger than others my age but I assumed that "Young Adult" could be as young as 19 or 20. Does it really sound more like teenager? Or older?
Maybe it's the peppy/upbeat tone that makes it sound younger. I do sound older when I adopt a more serious, mature tone.
My sample is below. Would love your feedback, thanks!

Hi Hiroshi!
I really appreciate the feedback. Here's a new sample of a much less peppy advert:

Please let me know what you think. Is it closer to Young Adult? And is the boxiness/echo still there?
Depending on your feedback, I'm wondering if I should update my profile to list "Child" and "Teenager" instead of "Child" and "Young Adult". It only gives me the option to list two ranges; do VB pros usually just focus on two age ranges?
Thanks!

I've updated my profile to child and teenager. Thanks for all your help, Hiroshi!
