Payment Timeline: Why is it 30 days from completion of work for voice pros and not everyone else?
Hi! I've been working as a Pro at BunnyStudio for over 7 years at this point, and for the longest time I have had no issue with waiting a month to get paid as It seemed that that was just how things had to be done.
However, I have also been doing post-production with BunnyStudio for a while as well now, and with every completed job I am paid immediately.
I'm not trying to stir the pot or make trouble, but why is it that Voiceover pros are made to wait, and at least one other category does not? And would it be possible to speed up the timeline for voice pros to fall in line with other marketplaces of a similar scale? (3-7 Bussiness Days has seemed pretty standard in my experience)
A simple answer to this question would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time!

Hi Angus,
Thanks for the feedback and ideas!
At the moment, the reason other categories like the Post-production category allow immediate payments is because they are manually handled, meaning that our project management team has to send invitations to each project.
Categories like voice and writing are fully automated, and more than 90% of the projects get fulfilled automatically without intervention from the project management team. This also means that in some cases clients might require revisions after the project is completed, which is why the payment is extended, so a client can still request changes in the project and, in turn, the Pro can have any additional rewards that those revisions might include taking into account that requirements that are extra from the original project requirements can include an additional reward.
Thanks again for the comments and if you have additional feedback feel free to share it!
Kind regards,
Daniel
Why, if that is the reason, do I then have to wait an additional 30 days after every revision? If the payment is held so the client can make revisions, why is it not held until the job is Approved/Rejected or for 30 days? I just really cannot understand the need for such a timescale. I would easily understand half of it, as 14 days feels like a much more reasonable timescale to pay a team of freelancers who likely need the money. I appreciate the work that you guys do, and I thank you for attempting to answer my question, but I really don’t understand why it being automated or not changes the speed at which one gets paid?
Furthermore, the quality control team check every job? So surely, to an extent, every project is handled manually?
Hi Angus,
I will submit your comments to the product team since that is the current way the payments system is set up.
Regarding the QC team, they do review the majority of projects, but Pros that are deemed "reliable" by our algorithm (that don't have many rejections/expirations and that clients approve their deliverables as well) might have automatic approvals without the need of the QC team reviewing the project.
Let me know if you have additional feedback for us!
Kind regards,
Daniel
Thanks Daniel
Appreciate the speedy response!
Hi Daniel,
I agree with Angus. It would be really great to have a speedier payment as well, rather than waiting the 30 days.
My suggestion is even if the client requests a revision later on, if the Pro gets additional rewards, those rewards would be paid out as well following whichever shortened payment schedule that is decided.
So we would always get paid shortly after completing the project, then paid shortly after completing every revision. Does the revision rewards need to be tied to the original project payment?
