Hi Tiago, this is Julian again.

Your recording space is great! Nevertheless, I'd suggest putting over more absorber acoustical material like foam or acoustic panels in order to fix that "Boxiness" reflections.

On the other hand, I left in another threat you submitted, other advice that can help you to improve that annoying issue. In case you missed the other threat, these are my following suggestions:

    • Compress less your voice after recording, thus, cause that the boxiness issue would be more noticeable.
    • Another possible solution is that ensure you record in an acoustically treated environment. If you already have acoustic treatment, you'll find tips on acoustic treatment on our community page: https://bit.ly/2MrNsSV.
    • I left two links videos where it explains how to address "Boxiness" through an equalizer.

Finally, I hope sincerely that my advice can improve your quality in order to be a top-notch pro on our platform. If you got any further questions, we'll be here to answer them.

    Best regards,

    Hello Tiago,

Another voice actor here with a suggestion. In my studio and many others, we use rock wool 2' X 4' batts covered with acoustically transparent material such as a muslin fabric. In my opinion the 2" thick batts are superior to foam in reducing close order reflections in a booth. That's just my suggestion - I am not an acoustic engineer, but rock wool has done a great job for me for years and is not expensive.

    Best of luck!
