Same, I thought it was an algorithm rejecting my submission. Turns out there are a lot of problems with QC lately :(

    I love this sample

For what it's worth, I don't hear any echo in your clip, so I don't know why Quality Control would flag you for it.

That said, I recently had one flagged because they said my voice sounded computer-generated, so whatever.  :/

    Hi Ryan,

Hopefully a Bunny QC team member will respond soon. Personally, I don't hear room echo, but to my ear it does sound like you're working the mic very closely. Also a former broadcaster, I had the habit of "eating" the microphone when on the air - seemed to sound bigger in the headphones. Lately I've been putting more space between me and the mic - 6 to 8 inches or so, increasing the gain, and letting the mic pre do more of the work. No clue if this is the Bunny QC problem with your sample, but might be worth a try.

I agree that the reasons given for QC rejections do seem to be somewhat arbitrary. I had a number of those when I first stared with (then) VoiceBunny and gradually, after installing more acoustic control in my space and getting a bit further from the mic, the rejections stopped.

Also, are you using an EV RE-20 by any chance? Just curious.

    FWIW.

    Best, Joe Brown

    Hey Joe!

Great feedback, appreciate it! I'm using a Rode NT-1 with xlr input through the Rode audio interface.

Still haven't heard back from Bunny staff.

Again, appreciate your professional perspective Joe. Thanks for taking the time to listen and respond.

Hi Ryan, thanks for reaching out!

Your voice sounds amazing! But when listening to your demos, I could hear some room echo and background noise.

Room echo: I can hear that you have acoustic treatment close to the point where you place the mic but seems like the problem is caused by reflexions on other surfaces that are away from the mic. Maybe the ceiling or another wall? It would be nice if you share with us some photos of your recording studio to have a better understanding of the problem and give you a solution.

Background noise: Is very subtle in the background but sounds like a fan or some electrical device.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Best regards,

    Steven Cifuentes.
