New Application rejected for QC issues despite regular approved submissions
Hello,
I received an email to apply for more languages in June 2022. So I sent out an application for North American and Marathi voice overs.
To give you a background, all the projects that I have submitted for the current languages that I provide (Hindi and Indian English) have consistently been approved without any hiccups. The latest project that was successfully completed was a month ago.
So naturally I was shocked when my application was rejected for the following reason:
"There is 'boxiness' impacting your recording which makes it sound as if it was recorded in a very small space. Please ensure you record in an acoustically treated environment. If you already have acoustic treatment, it may not be adequate."
Around the same time, 2 projects that I worked on got approved.
Honestly, it would have been less heartbreaking if the feedback was "You're a terrible voice artist and your voice is giving us nightmares."
I have a complete acoustically treated home-studio which I built in 2017 and have only made improvements to it since. My quality never changes because I work ONLY from my studio which is large enough to accommodate four people standing. So it is shocking to get 'boxiness' as the evaluation.
I am happy to send in the audition once more if someone can tell me how. And it would truly be amazing if someone can take a look at my application again.
Thanks,
Mohita Namjoshi

Hi Mohita!
Thanks a lot for reaching out to us :).
I know this situation can be frustrating. In order to assist you, could you please send me the samples you sent for each application so I can discuss them with the QC team and see which feedback they give me about this?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Gabriel Uribe
