Seeking a bit more feedback regarding a QC revision timeout rejection I've recently resubmitted for, want to avoid these problems as much as possible!
Hey Bunny Studio, I've recently sent off an email regarding the request for more information and rejection removal below and realised that it'd be best to ask for the feedback over on the community forum rather than just email since I believe that's where quality control gives their feedback usually!
I had a quality control revision recently that led to rejection due to failure to respond in time.
I've got no issue with this and have taken the job once more and resubmitted for the project which was returned to the active pool.
However, I'd like to bring up that I believe the 'notification' sound is currently broken/faulty on the website for Pro's at the moment, I received no 'ding' sound to alert me to the revision, this may be an issue on my own end but just wanted to mention!
Outside of this, I was actually hoping to get some more information regarding the rejection, it's stated that it was 'overly processed' however, this is the exact same processing chain I've been placing every single other job I've done over the past few months through. I have turned down the gain and adjusted my level of speaking to a higher tone for the resubmission as a solution to what I believe may have been a case of too much detail from my vocal performance being picked up from my set up making it sound 'overly processed.
On the chance this new version does pass quality control, could I potentially have the rejection removed from my statistics? If I'd caught wind of the QC revision sooner I'd of immediately hopped onto getting a new recording in place!
I apologise for any trouble this has caused!
You can find both the original and (newly submitted, and accepted) revised audio at the google drive link below:
I'd love for some feedback regarding my processing chain for both the first and 'rev 1' titled files.
The original file was processed through Izotope RX9 with a De-Plosive, Leveler and Normalisation. (This has been the standard for processing after my standard audio chain for around the last 50 jobs I've done with Studio Bunny) The Revised file was with the RX9 processing left out, instead just using some minor EQ, a lower gain setting on my interface and special care and attention to not pop my microphone in the booth :)
Looking forwards to hearing some feedback so I can get the best processing chain going for support asap for all the jobs that come in.
Thanks for your hard work,
Thomas Moore

Hello again Thomas! :)
We haven't heard of any issues relating to the noise alert for projects, so in all honesty, this is the first time we have heard of it at this time.
But regardless I will be mentioning it to engineering so they can investigate if there have been any bugs in the works. As I know they have been doing a lot of updates.
Relating to your audio files. I actually wanted to make sure that the team was all on the same page with me with these audio samples, so I brought your audio files up during our meeting yesterday.
We all agree that the revised version is the better of the two, so if you keep with that you shouldn't face more rejections.
That's not to say the first audio sample was bad, it just sounded slightly too over-processed in comparison to the revised version.
I'm not sure if you already know of this, but using a high pass filter cutting out around 80-120Hz usually is an easy quick fix to get rid of unwanted plosives should they affect your audio too. I've found positioning my mic slightly above is also effective as I used to have a tendency to speak directly into my microphone. Whereas my other voice actor friends swear by having two pop filters. I saw in one of your community posts you use a pencil to prevent them, nice idea! :D
Nevertheless, I really am digressing.
Looking forward to hearing you around our platform, and thank you as always for being so proactive and offering help to others on the community page too.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
All the very best,
Samantha
