Once you accept a project, you're allocated a specific delivery window. This deadline is clearly displayed before you confirm the final acceptance, giving you the opportunity to assess whether you can complete the project in time.
By clicking “Accept”, you start the timer, and we expect your deliverable to be submitted within that timeframe. If the deadline passes and the project is not submitted, it will result in an Expiration, which directly impacts your Stats.
🔁 What Happens to the Project?
-
For Speedies and Contests: The project will be reopened to other Pros
-
For Bookings: The expiration will be registered on your Stats
Our team will reach out to you a few times to make sure you are not missing out on our notifications - and the project might be cancelled if you don't respond. This can also cause your invitations to be paused until you get back to us.
📉 Do Expirations Affect My Project Invitations?
Yes. Every expiration negatively impacts your Stats, which in turn affects your position in the Talent Selection Algorithm. This means:
-
You may receive fewer invitations to new projects
-
You may be invited later than other Pros with stronger Stats
-
Your Samples may appear lower in the search results
Maintaining strong Stats improves your visibility, boosts client trust, and ensures you remain competitive on the platform.
🤔 What If I Accept a Project But Realize I Can’t Deliver?
If you reject the project after accepting it, the expiration will still count against your Stats.
This is because:
-
You had two opportunities to confirm the delivery time before starting the project
-
Once accepted, the platform holds the project for you and removes it from circulation so no other Pro can claim it
We strongly recommend reviewing all project details and confirming you have enough time to complete the work before accepting.
Here's what to do in these cases: I accepted a Speedy/Contest but I realized I can't deliver, what can I do?
