When you don't submit a deliverable, your stats will see a direct impact. Once you accept a project, you will be allocated a precise amount of time to deliver.
This duration will be shown before it starts to elapse. This is to ensure that you can deliver the project within the deadline. If you give the go-ahead by clicking on the final acceptance, the system will start running the clock. We'll expect your delivery within this time frame. If a deliverable is not submitted, the submission will become an expiration on your stats.
If the project in question is a Speedy or a Contest, the project will be reopened to other users. If the project is a Booking, the expiration will count towards your stats, but we expect you to re-accept the project and submit your deliverable when the deadline expires.
Will expirations impact my project invitations?
Yes. Expirations impact your stats, which will, in return, impact your standing with our algorithm. This means that you may see fewer invitations if you let your accepted projects expire. Keep in mind that the better your stats, the earlier you will be invited to participate in projects. Also, your samples will be prioritized in our Search feature.
I've accepted a project, but I realize I can't deliver. If I reject the project at this point, will I be able to avoid the expiration?
No. If you've accepted the project, the time will elapse, and the expiration will happen even if you reject the project afterward.
This is because we have given you two chances to agree with the delivery time before accepting the work. We expect you to be aware of how much time you have to work on the project before actually accepting it as we will block a project from other Pros while you're working on it.
