A revision is a request to adjust your deliverable so it better matches your original project brief and instructions. As long as your request stays within what you originally asked for, revisions are free.
Revisions you request
After reviewing your deliverable, you can ask for a revision if:
- The deliverable has quality issues, for example it sounds robotic or doesn't match the requested language, age or gender.
- The Pro didn't follow your instructions, such as the pronunciation, tone or pace you asked for.
Keep in mind that revisions are based on your original brief. Adding new sections, changing the script, or changing your original directions falls outside a standard revision. You can still ask for these changes by choosing Change script or specifications when requesting a revision, but they'll incur a fee, since the Pro needs to re-record the full script. If you need a different script or an entirely new deliverable, we recommend submitting a new project instead.
Quality Control revisions
Before a deliverable reaches you, our Quality Control (QC) team reviews it. If it doesn't meet our quality standards or doesn't follow your brief, QC asks the Pro for a revision first. You don't need to do anything!
When can I request a revision?
- Before approving: you can request unlimited revisions from the same Pro. We recommend asking for any changes before you approve.
- After approving: you have 7 days to request a revision.
- Automatic approval: if you don't approve, reject, or request a revision within 28 days after you receive your deliverable, the project is approved automatically.
If your deliverable doesn't meet your expectations, you can also reject it, and the funds will be credited back to your balance.
