Speedies and a fair playing field

Same thing happening with me. I was getting about 10-15 speedy invites a day until about 2 weeks ago. It's been crickets on here. I am currently ranked #236 of 482 on speedies in the top 49%.

Also its taking up to 12 days to get replies from VB Support.

Anyone else in the same boat here?

    Hello,

I'm in the same situation, it's very difficult to accept a speedy,

Thanks...so I am keeping track and comparing the opportunities that come my way as well as my friend's here on the platform. Again, our rates are the same and our stats are both great in all realms.

Yesterday I received 3 speedy notifications and 1 contest notification.

Yesterday my friend received 19 speedy notifications.

Today so far I've received 1 speedy notification.

Today my friend so far has received 10 speedy notifications and 2 contests.

Thanks for the update. I haven't gotten an invite on anything in just about 2 weeks now.

I did get an email directly from Gabriella saying:

It's not unusual for Pros to go a few weeks without getting invitations, as they can vary on the number of projects posted, as well as the number of active Pros with lower rates or higher stats.

However, we understand how frustrating these dry spells can be, so we have made it a priority to look into which systems could be tweaked to improve the frequency with which our talents receive project invitations.

We will focus on this issue throughout the next few months, and we hope to have great results for our Pros!

We ask you to bear with us for a little longer while this is being worked on, and appreciate your understanding.

I honestly don't think the bunnies understand the system themselves. I believe your intentions are good...but this has been going on for a long time. I know that there is a lot of frustration on the talent end. There is no logic or rhyme or reason. If you are on the good end of things it's great! But even then, there isn't a fair playing field. The same 2-3 pros get sent a notification seconds before everyone else so that by the time the majority of others on the platform get notified it's already been scooped up by them. I have recently just upped my rates on the lower end so that at least I will get paid a decent amount for bookings. I didn't mind them low if I were receiving speedies and able to actually get them as money can be made by doing volume. I've been on the platform for 4 years and am close to throwing in the towel or at least just only being available for bookings that pay a fair price. Super frustrating.

Yeah I'm sure they're working to improve the experience for Pros. Fingers crossed I've had much more speedy invites in the past 48 hours and a booking as well. So I think the activity on this board does help.

On a side note - I was just told by a QC team to start "Adding" EQ to my recordings. Anyone have any insight on this remark:

we think it is a sonic quality of the microphone you are using. Of course we are not recommending you to buy a new microphone.

However, we might suggest that you try to EQ a bit your recordings so you can boost slightly around 80-120Hz to increase this range we feel it is missing. Do you think you can try this?

Does anyone have good suggestions of which EQ in Pro Tools to use to help boosting my levels?

    Hi everyone!

I'd like to reiterate that our team is aware that some Pros are experiencing a slower pace with invitations at the moment.

We will be indeed focusing on this situation on the start of 2023, and we have high hopes for all changes that will be done!

I'd like to thank you for your patience so far, we're going to do our best to improve your experience from now on.
While I cannot share any details on it, I can assure you our team is very focused in only bringing forth the best our platform can offer for everyone, and that includes some upcoming updates to our system!

Count on us! We're on your side! =)

    Kindest regards to you,

    Hi Danny

Seems like things have been picking up a bit in the past 4 or 5 days with speedies and general invites. Would you agree on your end?

Also curious if you had any suggestions for EQ's in Pro Tools using an AT 2020 Mic into a small Xenyz Interface.

Hey, Ted! That's great to hear. I'm stoked for you. I don't personally know because since I wasn't receiving any speedies, I upped my rates so that I could get paid more on the bookings that I do get. When my rates are lower and I do get speedies, I don't mind as they can all add up $ wise. But as it was...I wasn't getting any speedies or contests. So, now I'm at least getting paid a decent amount on bookings. I'll give the lower rates a try again in the new year.

As for eq settings in pro tools with an AT 2020 mic...sorry, I'm not knowledgeable enough to help you out there. Most DAW's have some good presets built in. I'd play around with them and see what sounds good to your ears. Sound is so subjective. I know there are some good plug-ins available if your Pro Tools pre-sets aren't doing it for you. And of course, it all starts with your recording environment.

Happy voicing!!!! Let's kick some ass.

    Hi Danny

Appreciate the kind words . Thankfully Bunny QC team has been very responsive as of late and helping me to sort out my audio eq for recordings.

I had been getting almost 4 or 5 bookings a week back in 2018/19 until I had a huge project that took nearly a week to complete that I believe somehow backed up all of my stats. Not sure what happened but Bunny finally just deleted all of my stats back in 2020 after almost 40 back and forth emails and then I just never got invites to anything for almost 2 years! I have since been in touch in the past few months and now seems to be picking up again. Hoping with my recent stats moving up I'll be back in a regular booking invite again.

Curious if your bookings a week are pretty frequent?

Hey there, Ted! I just realized that I didn't get back to you on your last question regarding bookings. I'd say I get from 1 to 3 per week with some weeks nothing at all. I haven't lowered my rates back to the speedy threshold to test the waters yet. How are they coming in for you?

    Hey Danny

All good! Good to hear from you. It's definitely quieted down during the Holidays - I got a huge amount of speedy invites that came in on New Years Eve or the day before but unfortunately wasn't able to be at my studio to work on them.

Seems like QC team has been much more communicative as well in the past few weeks as I did have some questionable rejections that were thankfully disregarded after I advised them.

Fingers crossed all is good into the New Year!

As you can tell I'm responding fast to any bunny related topic in my email subject line! ; )

I have no idea other than what I can gather Bunny QC seems to have direct control over each Pro's profile at this point. I usually see an uptick in invitations as soon as I write to support or even respond on this board.

I'm gathering their backend is in major need of updating and they are working steadily to streamline each Pro's profile back to what it was like in 2018 and or there's just a major amount of saturation and over capacity of talent. Just my two cents.

I used to receive steady bookings from 2018-2020 but that all dropped off after a serious flawed stat affected my profile and put me back at zero - I'm trying to reach better stats with contests and the very few speedies I can get to. Fingers crossed! Good Luck on you end too!

2 days ago I received my first speedy after 2 months and a half (approved by client). And now, again, nothing since.

Hey gang, I came across this feed after I was having the same issue... Look at your profiles. Somehow I got "opted out" of both speedies AND contests. I have to opt back in. I never opted out so there must have been an upgrade or Some bunny  that booted me. (and possibly you)

It certainly would have been nice to know that we were "opted out" of chances to make some $$

To be honest, I rarely get to participate in Speedies. I've seen the number of invitations I receive drastically decline, and when I do get an invitation, it's already been claimed by the time the timer allows me to try to accept the project. Sitting in front of your computer all day only to have zero chance of collecting even one Speedy is not a way to keep your Bunny Pros happy.

I used to get 10 to 20 speediest daily. I'm lucky to get 1 a week now. Contests??? Do they even exist anymore? I've not seen an invite for a contest since August. I'm a silver in the top 10% and doubt I'll stay there if more doesn't come my way.

It seems that there's only two ways to survive on this platform: to gear yourself towards either Speedies/Contests of Bookings... but not both.

To even get invited to a Speedy, you have to have the lowest rates. But then if you get a booking, you're forced to do it for a fraction of what you would otherwise want to charge.

Even when I was receiving a fair number of invitations for Speedies, I would almost never get one; even though I couldn't physically accept it any faster after the timer expired, they'd always be gobbled up by someone else. And considering that I'd see some Pros posting about having completed hundreds of Speedies, you have to wonder why certain Pros would always be able to accept them while the vast majority would be shut out of the process.

Not sure how everyone else is doing at this point, but I've been in the same boat where I've received nothing for almost a month, and the last project I had was a booking. This seems to happen consistently for me where invitations come in left and right and then suddenly nothing for a long while. I actually signed up 9 years ago today and it's been a problem since then. Invitations to projects have never been consistent.

HUGE ISSUES. NO REPLIES. MAKES ME THINK THERE ARE MAJOR PROBLEMS. CONCERNED! No response. I try to believe in the platform, but actions like no response from Gabriela or whoever I was receiving from, just a week or more ago...is concerning. Whatever algorithms are set up, they are not working for us. Or, being so controlled, it is not worth using the platform any longer. Patience is wearing thin for thousands that have had faith this platform is authentic and operating in our best interest. (SIGH)

    Hey Craig,

It seems there are unique issues day to day on the platform. I have thankfully been getting plenty of speedy invitations in the past few weeks and lucky to get a handful a day but for some reason in the past 40 hours I'm just not fast enough to respond to these invites. I'm not sure what's going - I have the sound alert on and am seconds away after the job comes up but its just not good enough.

I've about a 50 to 60mbps download speed but I guess folks with higher speeds are picking up more jobs?

I hope they respond to you soon.

    Greetings, everyone!

Firstly, I'd like to apologize for not replying here sooner - we are checking each case separately, since the reason for a lower amount of invitations for Speedies, Contests and Bookings varies depending on many metrics in each profile.

However, we'd like to assure all of our talents that we are listening to your feedback, and that we know that this is something some Pros have been experiencing for a while.

Our team has made it a priority to look into what may be causing this onto your profiles, and make sure that invitations are being distributed fairly to everyone according to their stats and rates, however we currently have no ETA for an update.

We completely understand and we are on your side, though I'd like to clarify that nor QC or our Pro Support team can individually impact on any accounts for the amount of invitations that are arriving to profiles. This is entirely done by our automation on the platform, and this is precisely what our team is adamant on improving.

Though I apologize for not being able to provide a solution at this moment, I can guarantee that your feedback is not in vain, and we are gathering all of it.

We'll continue to work and do our best to improve your experience in the platform, while maintaining our standards and cherishing our Pros' excellent work.

If you'd like us to take a look into your profile in specific, please send an email to support@bunnystudio.com as we will check as soon as possible what may be causing the lower flow of projects for each.

Let us know if you have more questions and comments about this, we will do all we can to assist!

    Kind regards to all,

    Gabriela Schneider

    Hey all!

Has this gotten better for anyone yet? I'm in the top 1% for speedies and contests and my rates are at rock bottom. I get around 3 speedy, and one or two contest invites a day,  most of which come through in the middle of the night. I used to get around 15-30 speedy invites during the day, and that was a normal day up until December.

I get about 15 or so speedy invites a during the day EST. Maybe 1 contest a day. But accepting and getting to these in time is still challenging.
