    Hi Charlie

    Thanks for sharing!

Listening to both takes, I'd say the first one is better than the second one. However, I do agree that there are hiss noise and room echo present in both recordings. The second one sounds a bit boxier which makes me hint that the space you're recording is not adequated very well.

There could be various reflective surfaces around your microphone that are creating several reflections that are damaging the recording.

For this reason, I suggest you review how you're treating your space and adding these problems. I believe your equipment sounds quite nice (if you can let us know what gear you're using to record, it would be much appreciated) so my guess is that the treatment of your space needs to be reviewed.

You can check our webinar on acoustic treatment! I believe it would be good to review it: https://help.bunnyinc.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115000007524-Acoustics-101

I hope this gives you ideas!

    Hi Angela.

Thanks for all your help. I've had the space treated now and upgraded all my kit. I think I am ready to go now. Is there any chance I can get another go?

    Big love

    Charlie

    Hi Charlie!

That's awesome! What about we check the recording first? That way we can ensure you don't get rejected in any way! Would that be OK?
