Deactivated account because of +50% rejected samples
Hi there dear bunny people,
I only recently saw that my account is deactivated, as I checked to see if I have a vacation set as no new projects were coming in. So I remembered that you've sent me several emails containing samples on my profile which were now rejected after quite some time of re-review, it seems.
When I got these, I was honestly a bit worried about the why - in many cases it seemed a bit weird to me. Such as in addendums for existing projects that needed a pick-up, "there is no conveyable idea to be seen" -> rejection. Or when there is a file that had to be synced, there are of course several pauses inbetween or at the beginning, as the VO needs to be where the original VO shall be replaced -> rejected due to too many silent parts. And so on.
I oversaw that I should have deleted these samples which I didn't (I looked over a few of these mails now) - sorry, my bad indeed. But what now? Should I delete these rejected samples and my account is re-activated? (But wouldn't it have been easier if your team member(s) would have simply deleted these samples in question then)?
Or do I have to record a sample recording to prove that I do still record professionally?
I'm a bit irritated to be honest, as I even didn't get a notice that my account is deactivated. I only found out by going through my profile pages.
Well, please tell me what to do next and kind regards! :)
Cheers,
Cedric

Hi Cedric,
Thanks for sharing your case. We are currently implementing changes so you'll be aware if your account is ever deactivated again. In terms of samples, a few of your samples were a bit too short in length. We've noticed that samples that are longer than 15 seconds have better conversion. We also noticed one of your samples was in English so we had to reject it as it was in the wrong language category.
We've now reactivated your account. Make sure to delete any rejected samples from your profile and make sure to follow this guide to improve your samples: https://help.bunnyinc.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000253639-What-constitutes-an-effective-sample-
Dear Sebastian,
thanks a lot for the fast answer and reactivation!
I'll keep the guidelines in mind and have deleted all rejected demos. The English sample was asked for due to my German accent btw. :)
Projects are automatically turned into samples, aren't they? Or is this a setting in preferences and I should do something different?
Thank you again and kind regards,
Cedric
Samples are created into samples automatically if the client allows us to. Unfortunately, not all of these are suitable for search or are necessarily good samples for getting new bookings. However, we're also developing some ideas to allow Pros to have the option to choose if these samples go into their profiles or not. We'll keep you guys updated of these new changes.
Perfect, looking forward to the news and thank you a lot Sebastian! :)
