client rejection

    Hey there, Tim!

Thanks for reaching out and posting in our community!

I'll do my best to explain what has happened in this case. Not all projects might go through QC, if a Pro is "trusted" on our system. However, all projects canceled by clients are manually reviewed by QC to confirm whether the cancellation might be tied to a Pro’s performance or quality.

In this case, our QC identified that although the client’s reason wasn’t directly tied to your audio or intonation, there are still aspects that could be improved when compared to other Pros with the same Skills as you. Specifically, our team assessed:

    a) Our QC team identified Boxiness and Boominess in the deliverable.
The consensus within our QC agents is that these issues might have been caused by Over-processing.

Please know that the purpose of this feedback is to help our Pros become aware of potential improvement areas. Our team is also available to provide all the support you need if you’d like to work on these points.

We kindly ask that you share a fresh Sample here in this post, with any script of your liking! This will allow our team to evaluate your most recent audio, and with some back and forth, will assist you get rid of any issues that might be present!

You can share your Sample via any file-sharing or audio-sharing app, such as Google Drive, Soundcloud, and similar.

We'll be waiting for your Sample!

    Best,

    Gabriela Schneider

My account was disabled due to the total lack of email response from you. I see this now but I was originally contacted by you through email and responded there with samples. If this is where the response was to be it should have been made clear in the e-mail. I will post it below. There is a serious lack of clear communication in your platform. All my responses via e-mail have been ignored or passed off to someone else. There is a need for a serious upgrade to your process

Additionally, I have recorded other projects that have passed quality and client reviews and accepted. One in particular I also uploaded as a sample (the same that was accepted by quality AND client) and it was rejected. I am absolutley confused.

3 days and waiting for a response.... I don't even get a response from e-mail. If the disclaimer is we will get a response in 24 to 48 hours, then it should be 24 to 48 hours.

    Hi Tim!

    Thanks for reaching out again!

To keep matters clear, here are your other posts, which have been closed so we can keep our communication via this post - or, if you prefer, we can continue this matter via email, but it will entail in not being able to directly communicate with a QC agent to get support for your audios.

    No response from Managers

We’d like to clarify that our Pro Support team, unlike CX, does not operate on weekend shifts. We apologize for any lack of clarity regarding response times. Support from the Pro Management team is provided during business hours.

We understand your frustration and want to reassure you that, in line with our commitment to all Pros, we always offer support when feedback is involved.

To help avoid situations where our team reaches out assuming you are active on the platform, please remember to set your account to Vacation when you are unavailable. This ensures we can manage Revisions and Bookings appropriately.

It’s also important to note that some projects require faster responses, which can occasionally lead to QC agents being more lenient in their assessments. This may explain why some deliverables were accepted, but the same Samples did not meet QC standards.

That said, thank you for sharing your samples with us again!

Because the matters we discussed are important for maintaining high client quality, your post will be reviewed by one of our QC agents soon.

They will provide feedback here as quickly as possible regarding your current quality and performance. Once your samples meet our QC guidelines and do not present the previously mentioned issues, we will reinstate your invitations.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

    Best regards,

    Gabriela Schneider

To be clear, I was on vacation last week (yes it was set) when someone (either you or an AI agent for you)  reached out to me stating my account would be suspended. I still responded and still got no response, till now.

Here is the email response I sent with the timeline (from you, I assume)

    Hi Tim,

This is Julian from the QC Team.

Thank you for sharing your concerns and for taking the time to explain your perspective. We understand that the delay in our response has added frustration, and we sincerely apologize for that. We value your past successful deliveries and want to ensure our communication is clearer moving forward.

That said, after a careful review of your recent submissions, our Quality Control team identified some recurring technical issues—particularly boxiness, over-compression, and an overall processing-heavy sound. These problems affect clarity and naturalness, which in turn impact the client’s experience and can lead to rejections. We want to stress that this feedback is not about your interpretation or performance, but rather the technical consistency of your audio.

To help you get back on track, we’d recommend:

    • Submitting a fresh test sample with minimal processing so we can give you targeted feedback on how to avoid the boxy/over-compressed sound.

    • Reviewing your recording chain to ensure EQ, compression, and room treatment are optimized for transparency.

Also, we’d like to kindly remind you to activate vacation mode whenever you’re unavailable or unable to take on projects. This helps us avoid delays, ensures clients receive timely service, and protects your profile from unnecessary rejections.

We appreciate your professionalism and are confident that with a few adjustments, your audio can continue meeting the high standards our clients expect. Please let us know if you’d like guidance on preparing your new test sample—we’re here to support you.

    Warm regards,

    Julian,

    Thanks for the response

I can assure you that I did activate vacation mode... it was during my vacation that I was notified of the deactivation after some of my responses.

Below, find a link that has 2 samples of my audio. One with FX applied and one without. I also included my FX chain on a word doc. I use reaper as my DAW. My Mic of choice currently is a Deity s-mic-2 condenser shotgun mic if that helps.

    Hello Tim,

Thank you so much for your kind reply and cooperation. Also, the fact that you were able to share your signal processing chain is well-appreciated.

I've listened carefully to the samples you sent us here, and I must say that the dry chain suits our quality standards. Nonetheless, what can be improved in your processing chain is actually the compression. I noticed that you're overcompressing the signal since the Threshold of the compressor is at -23 dBFS, so all the "Boxy" reflections from your room are being highlighted when you compensate the Make-up gain a the compression stage, so that's why the dry signal sounds better.

Therefore, I suggest you elevate your threshold in your compressor and aim for a milder/mid compression. With this, you can level the dynamics of your voice without increasing the boxiness. On another note, I notice that you use Waves plugins, so if you have the opportunity to use the "Vocal Rider" before the compressor, it could improve the leveling dynamics stage of your recording, since with this plugin before, your compressor wouldn't have to be forced in order to level the dynamics more; it's more like a shared effort approach, were 2 compressors make the work of one by being milder.

Lastly, please send us a sample of the same script with the corrections I made so we can approve your quality and, hence, activate your profile as soon as possible.

If you have further doubts or questions, please feel free to reach out! We're here to help you.

    Hello Tim,

Thanks for providing us with your new sample!

I would say that we have to decrease a bit more the compression and the EQ in the highs, and we'll be already there. In the meantime, I'll contact my colleague to activate your profile again, so you can start receiving invitations again.

On another note, please apply from now on all the changes we discussed here, so our QC Team will not have any problem approving your submissions (unless there's an evident issue, of course).

Once again, thanks for your time and cooperation during this process. Feel free to reach out if you have any further comments or questions.

    All the best,
