How to get more access
What's the trick here, in a practical way? I respond quickly, get good reviews, turn in high-quality work that (aside from a couple misfires) doesn't get rejected. I've lowered my rates hoping to get some projects that will then allow me to raise them to a more comfortable level without torpedoing my invites, and... nothing. Nada. I've reviewed this article, which seems to be telling me that there's not really anything more I can do. In which case I may have to step off the treadmill so I'm not feeling the urgency to respond so quickly to bookings and revisions, since nothing really matters (I'm not a nihilist, just discouraged). Of the (very few) contests to which I've been invited, about half were glitches in the bunny system and I did a bunch of very fast and good work for nothing. Speedies seem to go away faster than they appear and it's physically impossible to click quickly enough to access them. I've tried many, many times. Bookings work, but I've had to lower my rates so steeply that they're hardly worth my time if I can't get enough work and increase my stats enough to raise my rates a bit.
So. What gives? Seriously, without the 'you're doing everything right' platitudes. What else can I do?

I’m in the same boat.. just trying to be patient and hope that it’s a really slow time right now (the economy and world events aren’t helping IMO) and that things will pick up again. I’ve also lowered my rates and had some great help from Support (they are the BEST and are always there with guidance for me) so ya.. just hanging in there for better days ahead!

Hi Marina, I did send an email last Thursday, however, I haven't received a response, and I notice I'm also not getting the weekly email about projects from other pros (the one that used to go out every Friday?) so I do think there must be a problem with the newer email system perhaps? And I'm still not seeing many projects available as far as Speedies or Contests, and alas.. no Bookings for quite some time.. I'll try to send another email today. Thank you again for any help/advice/suggestions!
